The Olympic fever

As everybody knows the London OG are taking place at the moment. All this olympic europhia reminded me of the winter OG and some of the magnificent figure skating programs of the past.
It's time to remember great performances that happened in the OG.
Here's a list of 10 olympic performances that in my opinion were remarkable:

Alexei Yagudin - Salt Lake City - 2002
His LP was so amazing that the judges rewarded him with the highest score ever for a single skater in the history of the winter OG. Yagudin won the gold medal in a categorical way!

Tara Lipinski - Nagano - 1998

The youngest olympic champion ever. Lipinski won the gold in Nagano creating a major upset cause she relegated Michelle Kwan (the favorite) to second place. This performance is so inspiring cause it looks like Tara was having the time of her life!

Klimova & Ponomarenko - Albertville - 1992

This russian pair had already got a bronze in 1984 and a silver in 1988. The Albertville OG were their crowning moment. In my opinion this FD in one of the most beautiful performances ever in ice-dance.

Kim Yuna - Vancouver - 2010

Simply spectacular. The korean phenom dominated the ladies event in Vancouver.

Virtue & Moir - Vancouver - 2010

This FD isn't just about sport but also about art.

Mishkutenok & Dmitriev - Lillehammer - 1994

Unforgettable russian pair skaters. This was quite a FP but in the judges opinion it was only good enough for silver. I humbly disagree.

Berezhnaya & Sikharulidze - Salt Lake City - 2002

This isn't just the greatest SP of their career. It's one of the best SP ever in pairs skating!

Torvill & Dean - Sarajevo - 1984

Innovative. Creative. Perfect. Torvill & Dean at their best.

Katarina Witt - Calgary - 1988

The art of command by Katarina Witt. So much charisma! This was her second gold medal in the winter olympics.

Ilia Kulik - Nagano - 1998

Such effortless jumps that we can all forgive him the yellow shirt :p
